H.E. Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will pay an official visit to Mongolia on October 9-10, 2020, at the invitation of H.E. Mr. Nyamtseren Enkhtaivan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. During the visit, Foreign Minister T.Motegi will pay a courtesy call on President Kh.Battulga and Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh. Foreign Minister N.Enkhtaivan will hold official talks with Foreign Minister T.Motegi, during which, the two sides are set to exchange views on strengthening Mongolia-Japan Strategic Partnership and expanding bilateral ties in all areas of cooperation. Foreign Ministers will also share opinions on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
The visit by Foreign Minister T.Motegi will mark the fifth official visit by Japan’s Foreign Minister to Mongolia. The previous Japanese Foreign Ministers visited Mongolia in 1989, 2004, 2010 and 2019 respectively.
