H.E. Mr. D.Tsogtbaatar, Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Catherine Ivkoff, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia, on January 14, 2020.

During the meeting it was mutually emphasized that Mongolia and Canada share same values, democracy and human rights, and noted the interests in expanding cooperation not only in mining sector, but also in economics, trade, investment, humanitarian and sports.

Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar expressed Mongolia’s desire to continue cooperation with Canada, our third neighbor and the largest investor in the mining sector, in order to enhance resource management, strengthen good governance, public service, empower women and ensure gender-equality.

Ambassador Catherine Ivkoff re-affirmed her commitment to further develop bilateral relations and cooperation in every sector, particularly to continue the programs and projects that are being implemented through Canadian International Development Assistance Programme.
